Empowering Youth, Changing Futures
Welcome to the Youth Thrive Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a brighter future and a better community. Our goal focuses on educating the youth of today about using their capabilities to help the underprivileged. Recently, we gathered artists and writers in our community to create hand-drawn and hand-written letters to send to senior homes. Through this activity, we were able to bring together like-minded youth and use their unique talents for good!

Tony Du
Beijing Division manager
Tony Du is a senior student at the Camford Royal School in Beijing. He enjoys helping others and contributing to his community through his own ability and resources. During school, He helps his peers with class work and also organizes club activities for his soccer team. Additionally, in his free time, he enjoys drawing and has participated in art for several years. Illustration gives him a unique chance to express himself and his emotions. However, lately he’s become aware of issues not just in school, but in his community as well. He realized that recently, the elderly population in China has gradually begun to increase. This issue is compounded with the changing family living structure and increasing stress on nursing home accommodations, leading to the younger generations having less time to talk and care for their older parents, even on holidays. Because of this, he decided to send self-designed and personally written cards to them. Although the drawings are sometimes simple, they are still filled with love and care. After a while of working on these letters on his own, he decided to gather some of his classmates and spread this project around his school. He hopes that through doing this, not only can he learn more about nursing home issues, but that his efforts can also be transformed into happiness, making a better world.
